Do you have what it takes to be our Summer Idol, if you

 think so then read on. Starting Thursday June 19th, over the

 next 8 weeks we will be taking 1 finalist each Monday Night.

These 8 finalists will then square off against each other to

see who will be crowned our Summer Idol.

 

Prizes

1. The winner of the weekly contest to get to the finals will receive a $25 Bar Tab.

2. The grand prize will be a trip to Atlantic City, where you get 3 Days, 2 Nights at the Taj Mahal. You will also get $250 in spending cash.

 

Rules

1.    All singers will sing two songs and will be judged on them. There will be no duplicate songs. Songs will be chosen on a first come first serve basis for both rounds.

 

2.    Singers will be judged on Vocal Ability, Stage Performance, Audience Response, and Overall Performance.

 

3.    Singers will not bribe any of the judges for increased scores, anyone caught will be disqualified.

 

4.    Any representatives of The Beach House and Sound Waves DJ/Karaoke Service are prohibited from entering the competition.

 

5.    Any singers who are considered a professional (i.e. in a band that performs, another karaoke host, or any paid performer) are prohibited from entering the competition. Anyone caught circumventing the system will be disqualified.

 

6.    Singers may sing from any karaoke format song only, be it their own disc or out of our catalog. No audio cd’s, of any kind are allowed.

 

7.    Any singers caught intimidating, heckling, or any other demeaning acts to other singers will be disqualified.
